Ann Coulter, the former Trump supporter who turned into a ferocious critic, unleashed an attack on Texas Governor Gregg Abbott after he put his weight behind the former president to become the Republican Party’s nominee.
Coulter — the author of several books including “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!” — took to social media to insult Texas Abbott as an “illiterate.”
Wrote Coulter: “The science illiterate governor who kept Texans in masks for about a decade.”

Coulter’s condemnation arrived hours after Abbott’s Trump endorsement announcement over the weekend.
The right-wing pundit appeared to take umbrage with Abbott’s endorsement both of Trump and of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coulter, who has called herself a “former Trumper” and has branded Trump a “gigantic baby,” is now throwing her weight behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the presidential race.
