When Jack Smith criminally indicted Donald Trump today for trying to overthrow the 2020 election, six co-conspirators were listed and described but not named. It was pretty easy to piece together that four of them were Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, John Eastman, and Jeffrey Clark. Most people think the fifth is Kenneth Chesebro. But the sixth was merely listed as a “political consultant.”

Now CNN is reporting on air that Trump Co-conspirator Number 6 is a familiar name: Jason Miller. He’s a longtime Trump political adviser who was supposed to get a White House job but backed out due to personal scandal, and was later hired by CNN, only to then depart amid more personal scandal. But his personal imbroglios are not what makes this so intriguing.

We know two things about Jason Miller that are relevant to today’s news. First, by all accounts he continued to serve as a political and personal adviser to Donald Trump even after Trump left office. Miller seemed to be one of the people who was sticking around until the bitter end. Of course that’s at odds with the second thing we know about Miller, which is that he appeared to cooperate extensively under subpoena with the January 6th Committee.

Now Jason Miller is reportedly an unindicted Trump co-conspirator in a federal criminal case. That means he’s on a path to being indicted unless he swiftly decides to cooperate. So now we get to find out if Miller is the guy who’s going to stick by Trump’s side no matter what, or if Miller is the guy who’s going to save himself by giving up everyone else, like he appeared to do with the January 6th Committee.

That’ll be up to him to decide, but it opens up all kinds of possibilities. Keep in mind that these six unindicted co-conspirators now each have to decide whether to hurry up and cut a cooperation deal before the others can. There might even be an immunity deal available for the first or second person who cuts a deal – but certainly not for all six of them.

So out of Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro, and now Jason Miller, which of the six is most likely to call up Jack Smith tomorrow and try to cut a deal? Tick tock.
